Laney and My Ruin: "Лето ада! "

Laney identified that what was missing was a line of rock amps that were loud, stageworthy and competitively priced. Part of the stageworthy concept is versatility without being fiddly to set up at gigs – an area where many fully featured amps can falter. The LV300T is a 2x12 combo that appears to be refreshingly user friendly.
If you are partial to a clean channel that stays very clean up to impressive volumes you might find that the LV300T is worth its asking price for this feature alone. It’s big and roomy-sounding with the ability to be cutting and brash, or even better, warm and smooth. The bright switch makes all the difference here, but the tone controls are effective enough on their own to come up with the goods for everything from country to jazz. It also makes an excellent platform for overdrive and distortion stomp boxes – a good pedal has room here to really make its character felt while sounding large and natural.
The two drive channels share an EQ section. This isn’t too much of a problem thanks to ‘V’ switches, which really shift the tonal emphasis and creat very different characters for the channels. Thanks to the respectable amount of volume available here, it is possible to achieve a believable modern metal tone with the aid of this innocuous looking button. Leave out the ‘V’ switch and you are certainly this side of the Atlantic. Back off the gain level to around half way and you might start to think that single ECC83 valve is doing a grand job. Classic rock tones are rarely this good without a full compliment of glowing bottles!
The second drive channel has enough gain to provide a naturally compressed, sustaining tone, even with a single coil -equipped guitar. Modern metallers should appreciate the ability to dial in a substantial low- end thump, and lead guitarists of all rock styles will be able to sculpt the basic tone into one that will slice nicely through any band’s overall sound. If this doesn’t offer enough variation for you, there’s always that final ’VTS’ switch. This is far more effective that the mere ’V’ versions, bringing in an altogether smoother and more powerful EQ curve.
The most important thing is that even a fairly inexperienced guitarist should be able to take to the stage with this combo and simply set up with three appealing tones that will also be heard easily. Factor in the great footswitch that enables channel and reverb switching and this becomes a credible giggable set-up. The good portability and durability are big bonus features, but perhaps the most appealing of all is the impressive price tag.

The sound quality is surprisingly good for a small unit, with a wide range of tones on offer. That compressor is also very handy, especially if you’re into the more funky, slapping style of playing.
The RB1 handled both the high output and the low string of the 5 string bass, producing a firm, well defined tone all the way down to B. No doubt some of that performance is down to the custom designed speaker (impressive).
It’s hardly surprising that the RB1 is a really nicely made, good sounding bass amp. It should be – Laney knows a thing or two about building a decent amp.
Overall, we were rather impressed by this little amp. It’s got a good range of sounds, produces quite an impressive amount of volume and when you add in the compressor, CD input and phones socket, it’s got a handsome range of features as well."
